These photos were taken in our suburban backyard. We are lucky to back onto dense bush, a creek and small pockets of almost sub-tropical rain forest. Over the years we have seen more and more birds visit the yard. We do put out wild bird mix for the birds but another major reason for the increase in population of birds, I'm sure, is that no one in the street now owns a cat.

Hi, Jilly! You have such fascinating birds. I had never heard of a black cockatoo, are they quite rare there?
