These photos were taken in our suburban backyard. We are lucky to back onto dense bush, a creek and small pockets of almost sub-tropical rain forest. Over the years we have seen more and more birds visit the yard. We do put out wild bird mix for the birds but another major reason for the increase in population of birds, I'm sure, is that no one in the street now owns a cat.
The two King Parrots have returned and this time they are accompanied by three children!! The babies are much the same size as their parents but can't be mature enough to be leaving mum and dad yet. In the second photo, if you look carefully, you will see four of the family.
